IMPORTANT: Ems for Kids Earmuffs are not a toy, and should be used under adult supervision for hearing protection only. When used correctly and properly maintained, Ems for Kids Earmuffs are designed to protect the ears of the wearer from potentially harmful noise. The earmuffs are designed to specifically reduce high frequency noise.

HOW TO WEAR: 

1. Unfold the earmuffs by pushing the two ear cups down.
2. Extend the headband to the maximum “open” position, and place the protective cups over the ears, with the headband passing over the head.
3. Settle the headband in position on the head while adjusting the height of the ear cups until they feel comfortable. The headband should rest comfortably on the head to support the earmuffs. When worn by smaller children, the headband may sit slightly above the top of the head. The earmuffs will still work effectively in this position.
4. The ear cushions should be a snug, comfortable fit against the head.
   It is important to put the earmuffs on comfortably before exposing the wearer to any sort of noise. The earmuffs should be worn for the entire time that potentially damaging noise is present.

HOW TO CLEAN:  Clean with warm, soapy water or disinfectant. Disinfect at least once every 3 months. Do not use organic solvents or alcohol based cleaning products.

HOW TO WEAR:  

1. Give the adjustable headband a quick stretch keeping the Velcro attached. 
2. Place the earmuff cup on a flat surface, lift the clip with one finger and slide the headband flat under the clip. Repeat for second earmuff cup. Note: The Velcro is designed to sit at the back of baby’s head. 
3. Holding both cups, gently place the earmuffs over baby’s head securing the headband at the base of the skull. Pull the headband gently to the front of the head and position the earmuff cups over baby’s ears for a snug and comfortable fit against the head. IMPORTANT: The earmuffs should seal the ears completely. 
4. Adjust headband over forehead as necessary. If headband is too tight or too loose, adjust Velcro and reposition.

HOW TO CLEAN:  

1. Remove acoustic foam from earmuff cups
2. Rinse cups with warm, soapy water or disinfectant. Do not use organic solvent or alcohol-based products. Dry thoroughly. 
3. Wash headband by hand – avoid machine washing.

BLUETOOTH AUDIO HEADPHONES

IMPORTANT: When used correctly and properly maintained, Ems for Kids AUDIO Headphones are designed to produce quality audio for music, games or movies, at a safe level for children aged 12 months and up. Like all of our products, Ems for Kids AUDIO Headphones are designed for little ears. However, we recommend children only use our products when under continual adult supervision. At Ems for Kids, we believe hearing is precious and should be protected. While Ems for Kids Headphones DO reduce some external noise for the wearer, they are NOT intended to be used solely for hearing protection. Should potentially damaging noise be present, we recommend using Ems for Kids hearing protection earmuffs.

HOW TO WEAR: 

1. Unfold the headphones by opening the 2 ear cups down
2. Hold one ear cup in each hand, stretch the cups apart and place the headband over the child’s head, settling the ear cups on the child’s ears. 6. To use the cable’s in-built microphone, connect the headphones via the AUX cable and use the call button (call icon) Note: Maximum listening volume is 85dB to ensure safe listening.

HOW TO CLEAN: To clean the headphones, do NOT use water or other liquids/solvents, as this will damage the electronics inside the headphone casing. Ems for Kids recommends wiping the earcups, headband and padding with a cleansing wipe / towelette once every 6 weeks.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE: 

1. Unfold the headphones by opening the 2 ear cups down from the folded position.
2. Refer to the LEFT (L) and RIGHT (R) markings on the inside of the headband and holding one ear cup in each hand, stretch the cups apart and place the headband over the child’s head, settling the ear cups on the child’s ears. Extend the adjustable headband on either side to adjust sizing. The headband should rest comfortably on the head to support the headphones. When worn by smaller children, the headband may sit slightly above the top of the head. The headphones will still work effectively in this position. The ear cup cushions should be a snug, comfortable fit against the head and on the ears.
3. Press down on the Bluetooth button to pair the headphones with your device via Bluetooth (alternatively the AUX cable may be used). When successfully paired, you will hear the command ‘Connected’. Note: If the headphones are paired with another device, the headphones must be disconnected from that device before pairing with a new device.  
4. To turn the Active Noise Cancelling function on, move the ANC ON/OFF slider to the ON position. You may experience a small pressure-difference when the Active Noise Cancelling function is on.
5. To adjust the listening volume: 

   i) When connected to a device via Bluetooth, tap the volume control buttons on the earcups (+/-).

   ii) When connected to a device via the AUX cable, use the buttons on the in-line volume control on the cable (+/-). 

   Note: Maximum listening volume is 89dB to ensure safe listening.

6. To move between tracks when connected to a device via Bluetooth, hold the volume control buttons on the earcups (+/-).

CLEANING & MAINTAINENCE:  To clean the headphones, do NOT use water or other liquids/solvents, as this will damage the electronics inside the headphone casing.  Ems for Kids recommends wiping the earcups, headband and padding with a cleansing wipe / towelette once every 6 weeks or as needed.
